The one-skein version of Flor is a perfect accessory so the young lady in your life can dress up her wardrobe. The two-skein version boasts an asymmetrical shape and drapes beautifully, especially in the silky bamboo blend from SpaceCadet Creations. Even in bamboo, the flowers pop from the surface in this great accessory piece, which can show off your favorite hand-dyed or gradient yarn. Note that all of the flower motifs are crocheted individually, making the stole a great on-the-go project.

Required Skills:
The stole is made by crocheting together lace pattern motifs. The patterns uses typical crochet stitches, as well as cluster stitches, slipped stitches, and adjustable rings. Once all of the lace motifs are made, they are crocheted together with single crochet squares. The motifs are both charted and described in written directions.

Gauge:
A flower motif should be approximately 4” (10 cm) x 4” (10 cm) after blocking.
A solid motif should be approximately 3.25” (8.3 cm) x 3.25” (8.3 cm) after blocking.
Gauge is not critical, but it is a good idea to block the first flower motif to make sure that you like the drape.

Finished Measurements:
Youth (Small) - 20” (50.75 cm) deep at center x 25.5” (64.5 cm) wide
Adult (Large) - 25.5” (64.5 cm) deep at center x 51” (129.5 cm) wide
(Schematic provided in pattern)

Hook:
U.S. Size H (5.0 mm) or size needed to produce noted gauge

Additional Supplies:
Tapestry Needle, Scissors, Blocking board and pins

Yarn:
Youth Sample - SpaceCadet Creations Lucina in a one-of-a-kind colorway. Sample used approximately 378 yds of one skein
Adult Sample - SpaceCadet Creations Maia in a one-of-a-kind colorway of mini-skeins. Samples used nearly all of the 800 yds provided in two sets of gradient mini-skeins.

Good Substitutions:
And sock or fingering weight yarn in wool, wool-blend or bamboo-blend. A sock yarn with 25% nylon content may not drape or block open as much as 100% wool, so consider going up a hook size or two in this case.
