This is a pattern to knit a slouchy hat with a large flower on the crown as a focal point. The pattern is quick to knit up and only requires 1 100g ball of chunky weight yarn.

The construction of the hat is slightly unusual. It is knit in the round but from the top down - this will require being able to crochet a magic adjustable ring and pick up your 1st 6 sts with a circular needle or DPNs if preferred. The rest of the hat is then knitted.

The flower pattern is fairly easy but does require you to make bobbles, add a little lace with yarn overs and decrease to make the petal shapes. If these are new skills to you, it is a great small scale pattern to practise with!

As chunky yarn is used, this is a quick knit and ideal for those last minute gifts or to knock up quickly to match a favourite outfit!
