The Floral Stripe Socks feature colorful bands of flower motifs. You can choose how much excitement to add to your sock by how many colors you use – I provide instructions for using 2 colors for a little more elegance or 5 colors for lots of fun color, perfect for using up leftovers. Of course, you are welcome to use as many colors as you’d like when you make yours! These socks are knit toe-up with a short-row heel and are not left/right footed, facilitating two-at-a-time knitting.

Yarn
Fingering-weight (sock) yarn:

  • For the 2-color version: 200-365 meters (220-400 yards) in each of 2 colors
  • For the 5-color version: 90-140 meters (100-150 yards) in each of 5 colors

Sizing
I provide instructions for 3 foot circumferences: 7”/18cm (8”/20.5cm) (9”/23cm). I choose a size based on the smallest size that reaches across all 5 toes but I like a snug sock. Keep in mind that colorwork socks often are less stretchy than would be typical of a single-color sock.
