This is a bottom-up, v-neck lace vest with shoulder seams worked by 3-needle bindoff. The vest is worked in one piece without cutting yarn by means of single crochet down the side of the armholes, as explained in the pattern.
The vest is fully charted, so it is written in one size only, but if you wish to use a looser gauge, or add repeats of the lace,to enlarge it, you may do so. The linen lace, after knitting, is very stretchy and forgiving, so different yarns may have different characteristics.

Pattern was free for the month of May 2015 in honor of Mothers everywhere, but some errors inevitably crept in.
Final (paid) version of pattern edited to correct minor chart errors:

  1. Pg 5, row 24, stitch 37 should be knit, row 48, stitch 34 should be SSK.
  2. pg.6 row 25, stitch 35 and 55 should be yo, and row 50, stitch 53 should be k2tog.
