English

This pretty shawl is worked in one piece from the tip up, so you can make it any size you want.

MATERIALS
100 g North Ronaldsay fine yarn
4 mm needles or size to achieve tension
smaller needle to pick up sts

Size
27” across the top and 15” deep

Tension
18 sts and 36 rows to 4” over garter stitch after washing and blocking

Construction
The tip of the shawl is worked, then sts are picked up along the straight edge. Work proceeds upwards, increasing in width until desired size is reached.

Place markers where lines indicate, moving them back to 22 sts in from each side after reaching the end of a repeat.

This pattern requires you to pick up a few sts. For best results, I recommend picking up sts using the back leg of the stitch.
