Mihály Csíkszentmihályi, pronounced (Chick SENT me high), is a famous psychologist who expounded on the concept of “flow.” Flow is achieved when one is blissfully immersed in a task to the extent that she loses all sense of time. It is an emotionally fulfilling state of being. I get flow when I knit this slip-stitch pattern. I am so blissfully happy in the doing, that I lose track of time and place. Achieve a great double-knit look without the work. This pattern scratches so many knitting itches! It is worked in-the-round, is versatile, and it employs an easy-to-follow colorwork design. Flow can be knitted any length, and because it has a buttoned closure, it can be buttoned and worn as a cowl, twisted and then buttoned for a moebius cowl, twisted twice before buttoning for a neck warmer, or left unbuttoned as a scarf. It uses Quince & Company’s luscious tern wool and silk yarn. Absolutely stunning!
