Notes on Description

This wonderfully adaptable wrap features one-piece (seamless) construction and a strikingly upbeat mood, with boldly colored stripes that draw strength from and lend vibrancy to textural openwork in a deceptively simple complementary arrangement.

Completely reversible, the result is suitable for and flattering to all body types and sizes. This is a versatile layering piece that is at once casual and sophisticated in its distinctive appearance.

The experience of knitting the Flow wrap is designed so that, through use of specific instructions and techniques, the act of its creation purposely exposes the knitter to those aspects of knitting that are the most stress-reducing.

Through a fully immersive knitting experience, the knitter’s sense of well-being is restored and strengthened to better protect against everyday life’s common anxieties and uncertainties.

Notes on Yarn

This pattern requires two (2) skeins each having 463 yards/100 g of The Yarn and I Fingering/Sock (hand-dyed) 4-Ply 80% Super-Wash Merino Wool and 20% Nylon Yarn, one in knitter’s desired solid color (or tonal colorway) and the other in knitter’s desired multi-hued colorway.

The completed piece is shown in Berry Bliss solid deep periwinkle blue color and Tutti Vanilla Fruiti multi-hued colorway of rainbow-tinted shades over creamy white.

However, the only yarn in the database at this time for The Yarn and I is Vanilla Sock Fingering (with a 75%/25% merino/nylon fiber content), and it was thus chosen above.

Note on Needles

In addition to US Size 8 or 5 mm needles (or size necessary to attain desired gauge), circular used as straight and of sufficient length to hold required number of stitches, this pattern also requires a large-eyed yarn needle (for finishing).

Notes on Attributes

(1) Since the more accurate descriptor “parallelogram” was not an available choice for “shape,” the closest approximation -- “rectangle” -- was selected; however, please be advised that (as can plainly be seen) those are not right angles where adjacent sides meet.

(2) Additionally, the use of the descriptor “bias” describes only the resultant appearance of the knitted piece, and does not pertain to the manner in which that appearance was created.
