Abbreviations

sc – single crochet
ch – chain
st – stitch
sl st – slip stitch
dc – double crochet
tr – treble crochet

Materials and Tools:

• US 12/1.25 mm crochet hook
• Lace weight crochet yarn (I used home-spun silk, 2-ply; consult the photo)
• Yarn needle to weave in ends and sew squares together if desired

This crochet square can become a “building block” of any design. I used it for a crochet top. Use an existing garment to lay out your squares and determine the amount of yarn needed.
