much, but hopefully it will illustrate what happens,
when working with the colours.
Please look at the hat, as an extended swatch. Of course it would be nice to knit a perfect hat, which fits you,
has the right colours, and is just what you have always wished for, but when knitting with this kind of yarn,
you can never be 100% sure of the result. At the same time, this is the challenging and exciting thing about
knitting with this yarn. I have often experienced that it when the colours nearly are too much, too closely or
just not beautiful, the most interesting things happen.
At the latest pages are charts without motifs, where you have possibility designing hats with your own motifs.
Supplies:
Yarn supply for a hat is about 50 g of each of the two colours.
Knitting needles:
Circular needles size 2½ - 3 – 3½ mm - 40 cm (due to the design you want to knit)
and double pointed needles size 3 and 3½ mm (for knitting the crown of the hat)
Notice if you want to change something in the pattern before starting (size, tension edges etc.)
You can combine the different borders to the different hat patterns as you want.
I use centimetres and knitting needles in millimetres.
1 inch = 2,54 cm.
I have knitted with needles size 2½ - 3 – 3½ mm. You can just use needles close to that.
Tension:
Knitting needle size 3 mm: 25 sts – 33 rows = 10x10 cm
Knitting needle size 3½ mm: 22 sts – 26 rows =10x10 cm
Best wishes for your knitting
