The Flower Patch sock is a top down sock knitted in the round. It uses a contrast yarn for the cuff, heel and toe. The cuff is knitted in 2x2 rib before beginning the lace and garter stitch pattern down the leg. The heel is knitted as a short row heel and the pattern continues down the foot before a classic wedge toe completes the sock, using Kitchener stitch to graft the toe at the end. The pattern comes in two sizes - medium and large adult foot and is achieved by using different sized needles.

Although the pattern was designed to be knitted using a sock set with three miniskeins, it can just as easily be worked using one yarn, or a main colour and one miniskein to contrast the cuff, heel and toe. The pattern is very easy to memorise, and comes both as a written pattern and a chart.

All proceeds from pattern sales are donated to the Flower Power Fund, raising money for Marie Curie hospices forever. Marie Curie is a registered charity (Charity Reg. No. 207994 (England & Wales) SCO38731 (Scotland).
