UPDATE!! NOW WITH VIDEO TUTORIAL LINKS FOR ALL 3 FLOWERS & THE BUTTERFLY BODY!

This is a unique pattern of new stitches I developed to cure my boredom with the same tulips and roses we’ve all seen for many years now. I chose the colors to portray the fields of flowers in the Netherlands that push up even through the snow in late April. The surprise with this pattern is that the back side is actually the prettiest side.

Written in American crochet terms, the stitches for the flowers are made with overlay and other special little tricks that give them the unique character you’ll love. Your crochet buddies will want to know how you made the flowers because they are very different. The pattern is very detailed and includes the rose edging and the butterflies which you can use for other projects as well.

Skill level is Intermediate and above. This is not a pattern for the beginner. The stitches are taught in the pattern & there is an extra chart at the end with some tips which give a visual depiction of where the stitches lay. Creating stitches in & around other stitches will be required.

This is a crochet pattern for download. It is in a PDF format made for Adobe Acrobat readers & other PDF readers. You may need to update your Adobe reader if you have trouble opening the file. The pattern is copyrighted and not legal to distribute or share with others. You may print a copy for your own use only. It was created to print on American standard 8.5X11 paper & may not print well on other paper sizes.

Sorry but I’m really bad about giving gauge & volume of yarn required. The afghan is a standard size throw that could possibly be used for a single size bedspread in the width. The length is up to you. I used Caron 1 pound and Red Heart Super Saver Jumbo yarn for the photos shown.
