Alternating waxing and waning crescents create textured, meandering columns. The stitch pattern’s depth and motion highlight the beauty of semi-solid and tonal yarns.

Fluid Motion is worked in-the-round beginning with a provisional cast-on.  The cowl is finished with a textured i-cord bind-off on each edge.

The pattern includes written instructions only, no charts.

Finished Dimensions: 
 7 inch (17.8 cm) height
24 inch (60.9 cm) circumference

Gauge:
Achieving exact gauge is not critical
20 sts x 28 rnds over 4 inches/ 10 cm in stockinette stitch worked in-the-round with US 7 needles 

Yarn:
1 skein of Malabrigo Yarn Rios - (100% superwash merino wool) - 210 yards (192 m) per 3.53 oz (100 g), Colorway: 866 Arco Iris

Or 200 yards (182.8 m) of a worsted weight yarn For best results, use wool, a wool blend, or other fiber that will respond to blocking

Needles:
US 7 (4.5 mm) 16- or 24- inch (40 or 60 cm) circular needle or size to obtain gauge

Other Materials:
Crochet hook for provisional cast-on, US G or H (4 to 5 mm), the exact size is not critical                                 
Stitch marker 
Tapestry needle (large-eyed, blunt needle)
Waste yarn for provisional cast-on
