These fingerless gloves feature a slip stitch butterfly pattern and moss stitch edges. It is charted and written so follow whichever is easiest for you. Don’t pull the yarn too tightly when as you slip the stitches to make the butterflies as they will come out all squashed! These mitts were first published in Knit Now, Issue 47 under the name Flutterby Mitts.

These mitts are knitted flat, with a simple stitch pattern that looks like little butterflies. You can choose to work this pattern from the chart or the written instructions. They are then seamed, leaving a gap for the thumbhole.

This issue is on sale now from supermarkets and newsagents across the UK and from the Knit Now website. It is also available digitally here.
