January 1996
Fingering (14 wpi) ?
30 stitches and 40 rows = 4 inches
in stockinette with US size 3 mm needles
US 2 - 2.75 mm
US 2½ - 3.0 mm
480 yards (439 m)

Worked in the round with a firm tension, it is an ideal project on which to practice your gansey knitting skills.

Two 100 gm balls (480 yards) will make one beret with yarn left over, three 100 gm balls (720 yards) will make 2 berets.

Note that the linkage is to the current version of Scottish Fleet yarn. The original yarn has long since been discontinued.
