Are you as fascinated as I am by the phenomenon of geese in flight?
The graceful V-formation and synchronous flapping of wings are aerodynamic and energy-efficient, and to me, a visual reminder of balance, working together, and finding a path home.
The tucks arranged in a V-shape reminded me of geese flying home, their wings flapping in perfect harmony. As I was knitting this top, I also got to thinking about my own “flights” back to Kazakhstan and what going home represents to me - the sense of familiarity, of comfort, and most of all, of a sanctuary. In a way, making things by hand helps me capture these feelings of home. I hope that the fun construction and soothing stockinette of this top will help you find that sense of home in your knitting.
