This pattern reminds me of our evenings during vacation at the beach when my sisters and I would feed the seagulls. They would fly close to the surf, circling and diving down to us, stealing a French fry and yes, even pooping on our heads! The flying seagull sock pattern is for the knitter who has made socks in the past or has some basic knowledge of sock construction. It starts top/cuff down, gives instructions for 9 inch circular needles (magic loop and DPN instructions are provided as well), utilizes the Eye of Partridge heel flap, Dutch heel, then uses magic loop method for toe decreases and closes with the Kitchener stitch. It is fun, intuitive and easy to memorize.
