Winter mornings are my favourite. The low sun takes a good hour to make its way up and over the hills to the South East, with clouds frequently caught in the valley between those hills and the one our house sits on. These sunrises come in gradient shades of grey, with pink lines of light cutting through the mist.

The size is easily adjustable by working fewer or more of the stripes, ensuring each V-stitch section ends with a multiple of 5.

Construction
Started at one edge, the shawl is increased at the neck edge in the gradients, with bands of broomstick lace breaking it up.
