From Suzi Anvin: Foggy Dawn socks are a great way to show off cabled knitting without all the muss and fuss of actual cables. Each cable cross can be more quickly and easily made by a twist stitch. The design emerges seamlessly from the customized ribbing at the cuff and optionally fades gradually away at the heel and toe. This is an intermediate level design that is easily re-sizable for a wide range of women’s feet. Can be knit with either fingering weight or sport weight yarn, depending on desired thickness of sock. Tight gauge fans will prefer the sport, more traditional gauge fans will prefer the fingering. Please note: Dawn comes in many colors as the sun sets the world alight, please don’t feel limited to gray!

Size: All sizes are finished sock sizes, AFTER subtracting for negative ease.

  • Small: Women’s 5-6, cuff width 7.5”, foot length 8.5”
