This pattern can make a short cowl (~200 yds) or a longer flared smoke ring (~400 yds).

Original versions used heavy fingering/light sport silk-cashmere blends -- King’s Ransom from JulieSpins for the small cowl prototype, and a limited edition from NannysKnits for large smoke ring. NannysKnits yarn was available in kit form with this pattern at 2010 Stitches West.
