Choose 3 of your favourite colours with highly contrasting values to blend in this folkloric and floral stranded toque.

Worked in the round from the brim to crown, the hat is 18.5(21.25)”/ 47(54) cm around and should fit with 1-2” (2.5-5 cm) negative ease.

Pattern includes stranded knitting tips. Colourwork based on charts.

Materials:
Yarn: Knit Picks Swish DK, 100% Superwash Merino Wool, 123y/ 112m; 50g 1 ball of each MC, CC1 and CC2. Sample shown in MC “Marina;”
CC1 “Lemongrass Heather;”and CC2 “Cornmeal.”

Tools:
US 6 (4mm) 16” (40 cm) circular or double pointed needles, in style(s) suitable for working 18- 22” circumference, and small circumferences, in the round. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain gauge. US 4 (3.5mm) 16” (40 cm) circular or double pointed needles for working 18- 22” circumference in the round. Use needle 2 sizes smaller than larger needle used for obtaining gauge. Stitch marker; tapestry needle; large pompom maker (optional).

Gauge:
24 sts/26 rows over 4”(10cm) in stranded stockinette using larger needles.
