Bohus Stickning “Fönstret” (The Window) was designed by Anna-Lisa Mannheimer Lunn or Bohus founder Emma Jacobsson for Bohus Stickning in the mid-1940s.

The knitting kit for Fönstret is a recreated model developed from original patterns and models from museum collections and private collections by Pernille Silfverberg during 2023.

The garment is knitted in a two-strand lambswool yarn from Henrichsen Uldspinderi in Denmark. The lambswool yarn consists of merino wool from New Zealand and a small proportion from Gotland fur sheep, guaranteed mulesing-free.

Bohus Stickning Fönstret had a yellow or turquoise blue ground color (like the blue pattern color) on the back and sleeves, waist and neck edges, and buttonhole edges. The rest of the front had a light natural gray ground color. There are 3 pattern colors and 2 base colors in the pattern Fönstret. It is knitted with up to three pattern colors used at the same time.

The knitting kit for a pullover/cardigan with full-patterned front contains enough yarn for either pullover or cardigan for sizes up to XL. It is knit from the bottom up with sewn in sleeves. The buttons of the original garment were in horn 13 mm in diameter and had four holes with a small notch between them. Buttons are not included in the knitting kit.
