2018 year is a year of dog by Eastern calendar. These mittens are inspired by dog Foo, also known as celestial lion of Buddha - the legendary protector of Chinese emperors and nobles. Foo Dog has pointy dog ears and the rest of it’s body is lion’s. Lions are traditionally associated with might, and dogs are characterized as playful and loyal creatures, so dog Foo connects lion’s power with the heart of a dog. They are able to bring their owners family wellbeing and shield them from malicious forces. As such, these mittens can become a lucky charm for your own use, or a soulful present for your loved ones.
