The Heirloom Goods’ Inaugural MKAL was April 2015. The mystery is over, but the pattern is still in the MKAL format at this time.

This scarf starts with a Provisional Cast On that by the end of Clue One has you knitting both ends of the scarf at the same time.

Although the MKAL has finished, the chat about the scarf continues in the Heirloom Goods Knitters group chat threads. There are also spoiler threads to see photos of the projects.

The scarf continues to have us saying “Be still, my Foolish Heart.”

Skills:
Each clue is fully written out and all lace is fully charted. The pattern has basic knit stitches to create four different lace designs. All the stitch (yo, k2tog, ssk, sk2po) definitions are explained in the pattern. The lace designs are simple lace as well as optional beading.

Yarn:
500 yards solid or semi-solid DK weight yarn
(Variegated or highly tonal yarns will lose some pattern definition.)

Needles:
US 7 (4.5mm) or size required to obtain gauge
