If made from heavy duty carpet yarn, it makes a good dish scrubber. It can also be made from regular worsted weight acrylic yarn, worked with two strands held together.
Finished projects can also be used as a coaster or appliques for bags and afghans.
Smaller version can be made using regular WW yarn and 3.5mm hook.
