This pattern first came about because I wanted to make something special for a friend. Something lacy with a nice drape. So I commissioned a special colorway from Angela at Celestial Strings and started looking for a nice pattern with a lacy element to it. I couldn’t find one that I liked, so I adapted a lace pattern to what suited me the best.

I think the best thing about this pattern is that you can make it as wide or as thin as you’d like, all needle sizes and all yarn weights work beautifully with this cowl, the gauge doesn’t matter as long as you like how it’s turning out, and I am really happy with the response that I’ve gotten from it.

I have made 2 so far and each used just one hank of Celestial Strings Supersquish, but It would look beautiful longer or shorter than a full hank can give you.
