Forellen is a sideways knitted, crescent shaped shawl embellished with elements such as cables, icord eding and a stockinetteknitted body.
You can knit it in solid or with intarsia to make the cable border pop even more.

The size of the shawl is decided by what weight, gauge and yardage you prefer to use. It’s knitted sideways so when you have used half of the weigt of your yarn you turn and work decrease. This way you can make maximal usage of your yarn!

Fingering weight works very well with the detailed cablework, you need app. 2 skeins.

Happy Knitting!

20121204 - an error in row 19 of knitted charts has been detected and corrected.
In version 1.6 it says “p2, k2, C2F, p5, C1F, C2B, p5, k2, C2F, p2” but it should say “p2, k2, C2F, p5, C1F, C1B, p5, k2, C2F, p2”.
This has been corrected and the updated version, 1.7, has been sent to all buyers.
