This 2 colour shawl can be made in any laceweight or fingering weight yarn. It is knit from the top down in 1 piece starting with an easy garter tab. 2 complementary yarns are used, one for the main colour for the body, and a contrasting yarn for the lacey border. Optional size 6 seed beads can be used on the border.
Both charts as well as written instructions are provided.

The fingering weight version with full border took about 360m of main colour and 350-400m of contrast colour for the border.
The smaller version in heavy laceweight handspun used about 60g and 350m of the main colour and less (about 250-300) for the contrast colour.
With the second version, you basically knit the edging until you run short of yarn, leaving enough for the bindoff.

Errata:
On page 3, under eyelet rows, Row 5 is worked as row 1 and not row 3. the total of 287 sts is correct.
Also, on Chart 3, the repeat box should include the sssk on row 1, and the ssk’s on the subsequent rows. The written instructions are correct.
