The Forget-me-not Shawl is a top-down, triangular shawl in 2 mirror image sections. The Wide-Weave Lace, both Eyelet version (chart 1) and Trellis version (chart 2) are from Barbara Walker’s A Treasury of Knitting Patterns, p. 163. Both versions are 16 sts and 32 rows pattern repeat–all even number rows (wrong side return rows) are purled.

  • 4.0 mm (US 6) straight needles or 80 cm (32 in) circular needle in same size or size needed to obtain gauge
  • 4.5 mm (US 7) straight needle for bind off.
  • 4.5 mm (US G/6-7) crochet hook for provisional cast on.
  • Slip markers.
  • Smooth contrast color scrap yarn.

GAUGE:
15 sts = 10 cm (4 in) in lace pattern after blocking.
