The Forget-me-not Shawl is a top-down, triangular shawl in 2 mirror image sections. The Wide-Weave Lace, both Eyelet version (chart 1) and Trellis version (chart 2) are from Barbara Walker’s A Treasury of Knitting Patterns, p. 163. Both versions are 16 sts and 32 rows pattern repeat–all even number rows (wrong side return rows) are purled.
Originally offered by elann.com as a free pattern. Visit international.elann.com to see currently available free patterns.
Over the years elann.com has offered a variety of free patterns to showcase elann brand yarns – this was one of them. As elann’s new site, international.elann.com, develops, many of these longtime favorite designs will be re-formatted and made available for purchase. This will be a time-consuming process, which we hope to accomplish by the end of 2015, so we ask for your patience.
Throughout this process, on a rotating basis, we’ll be offering 6 free patterns per month at international.elann.com. They’ll be free for one month, and then subsequently available for purchase as .pdf downloads. We encourage you to visit international.elann.com often to see our latest offerings.
