This adorable scarf came together while my lovely little ladies were taking their afternoon naps one weekend. It’s the perfect project for when you have a limited amount of time to yourself. Plus, there’s just something about crocheting granny squares on such a mammoth scale. Not only are they quick and easy to make, they just look so darned awesome, AND it makes a basic crocheter feel like she can crochet. This scarf is also a showpiece for a very special, very large button, so have fun with it!

Yarn – Approximately 120 yards/110 meters super-bulky-weight yarn. Shown in Malabrigo Rasta (100% merino wool; 90 yards/82 meters per 5.3 ounce/150 gram skein), colorways Laguna Negra (grey/brown) and Oxido (reddish).
Gauge – 7.5 stitches and 4 rows = 4”/10 cm in double crochet.
Needles - US N/10 mm (or size to get gauge) crochet hook.
Notions - Tapestry needle, very large button.
Skill level - Advanced beginner (crocheting in the round).
Size/Finished measurements - One size fits most. 41”/104 cm long, 8.5”/21.5cm wide. Measured after blocking.
