This baby Yak hat is very simple to knit. The hat is started with a garter stitch band. {You can use a provisional cast-on and then graft the band.} The band is then seamed and sts are picked up along one edge and joined, and then knit in the round.

At the very top the corners are created by using 3 needle BO with 4 pairs of stitches. I did the BO on the outside for a bit of decoration.

I knit the band in rows on DPs and used a 16 inch circ for the body of the hat, and back to the DPs for 3 needle BO.

Your baby yak should be gently washed in a machine to make it bloom into an ultra soft, cozy lovey.
