Inspired by a certain timeless and classic novel, this cowl incorporates four lace patterns to represent four unique women.
The top portion of the cowl is for Beth who is a cat lover, so her lace appears like cat ears. Jo is a book lover and the next columnar lace section represents shelves of glorious novels. Amy’s lower edging has an artistic flair to stand for her creative nature. And finally, Meg’s loving heart cable runs throughout, as she is the sister who binds them all together.

This cowl is knit in the round from the top down, and is finished off with an I-Cord edging. Please note that charts are provided on the last page of the pattern for each different stitch pattern, and they
are also fully written out in the pattern instructions.

Note: the sport weight used is quite fine, and is more like a fingering weight.

Errata:

  • There was a small typo in Round 14 of the edging. This line should read: * P1, ssk, k2, yo, k1, yo, k2, k2tog; rep from * to end. The chart is correct. This issue has been corrected in the pdf as of 1/27/2020
