This versatile pattern will help you create four different styles of hat. There is a Beanie, a Button Beanie, a Slouchy Beanie, and a Slouchy Button Beanie. Four patterns in one! You will want to make them all!

The hats are done in worsted weight yarn (size 4) with a size J - 6mm crochet hook. They are quick projects and suitable for an advanced beginner.

The hats are crocheted in the round. Stitches used are chain, slip stitch, single crochet, sc2tog (explained in pattern), double crochet and v-stitch. The v-stitch is simply a double crochet, a chain and another double crochet all done in the same space.

You will need one skein of worsted/aran weight yarn (size 4), a size J - 6mm crochet hook and a yarn needle for weaving in the ends when you are finished. You will also need a 1” button for the button versions. I like to use Caron Simply Soft yarn for this project.

The beanie hats measure about 7 1/2” from the top to the edge. The slouchy beanies measure about 9 1/2” from the top to the edge. The hats fits a head circumference between 19” and 23”.
