This skirt is the perfect use for verigated or self striping sock yarn. Double strand it to create a DK/light worsted weight yarn and a nice drapey fabric. The double stranding will prevent pooling in verigated yarns and create a cool break in the striping to selp-striping yarn. Solids of 2 colors could also be used to create a tweed effect.

Don’t want to use sock yarn, then pick a nice drapey DK weight yarn or worsted weight yarn to create your skirt. Really, you are only limited by your imagination when picking a yarn for this simple little skirt!

ERRATA:
In the Hips and Body Section, after you knit one round, the patter should read:
Knit 28 (30, 33, 35, 38, __C), place marker “RHM” for right hip, Knit 56 (60, 66, 70, 76, __Cx2), place marker
“LHM” for left hip, Knit 28 (30, 33, 35, 38, __C) to end of round. (Note: When knitting
a skirt top down, when your knitting is in your hands, your RHM (right hip marker) is to the left of the CBM (center back marker)
and your LHM (left hip marker) is to the right of the CBM.)

Somehow, I had typed and extra set of stitches into the round.
