You will need to use two different contrasting colors when working the blanket. If using a striped yarn, be careful when selecting your contrasting yarn. Testers have said that using a solid with a striped yarn distorts the spiral effect. If using a varigated yarn and a solid, since varigated usually has very sort color runs, it should be okay but choosing 2 solids may work best.
