Dress your littlest rose in a very special gown. This dress has a full skirt with seed stitch edging, and cap sleeves with a filigree seed stitch body for a perfect fit. Buttons close the back neckline. It is the perfect gown for your tiny princess, and absolutely destined to become a family heirloom. It is perfectly paired with the seed stitch baby bonnet and heel ribbon booties, also available on my site. The pattern was created by Madame Segneri, a knitwear designer in Lyon, France, for the birth of my friend’s daughter.

The gown is soft and stretchy, and can be knit for babies approximately size newborn to 3 months, or 6 to 12 months.

You will need to know how to cast on stitches, knit stitches, purl stitches, knit two stitches together, yarn over, cast off, seam the finished work and knit in ends of the finished work – skill level intermediate.

A dress, for an average skilled knitter, should take approximately 20 hours to complete.

The model was knit in Tahki Stacy Charles, Inc., Cotton Classic in color 3451.

Pattern may not be reproduced without permission of designer. Finished knits made from Madame Segneri designs are for personal use only.
