This semi-circular shawl (about 54” wide by 20” long) with a “bite” taken out at the neck which allows it to sit perfectly on your shoulders without pins or falling off. It is small enough to wear as a scarf or just enough cover over bare shoulders in air-conditioned rooms or cool summer evenings. The lace patterns change frequently making it a fun sampler for your knitting entertainment. There is no cast on edge nor bound off edge. Knitting begins with an eyelet band knit sideways, then the shawl stitches are picked up and knit downward. The hem is finished with a crochet hook using simple chain stitch and beads which offer beauty as well as drape.
