Knitter’s today attend events all over the world. Retreats and workshops, classes and markets – it all makes for a community that didn’t even exist 20 years ago. That’s my inspiration for this sweater. A knitter begins traveling on a road to a knitting event and then is joined by a friend who accompanies her on journeys around the country. As in life, it’s so much easier with someone special by your side —someone to laugh with, to get lost with, to hold onto and to hold up.

The sweater is worked from the neck down and has a raglan sleeve construction. Sleeve stitches are held to be picked up later and worked downward. The sweater is designed as a hip-length A-line style sweater with 2-3” of positive ease.
