This Friendship Socks pattern was inspired by the deep friendships of characters in classic TV shows, books, and movies. Two cables run parallel to each other but never intertwine - signifying the importance of a friend that can run alongside you with life’s twists, turns, and bumps in the road. Knit a pair for yourself, a friend, or knit a pair and trade one sock with a knitting friend and celebrate friendship!

I created this pattern with the intention of providing a thoroughly detailed pattern for beginners and an entertaining knit for intermediate knitters. The pattern is broken into 3 separate 11 page PDFs (one for each size) for your convenience. A thoroughly detailed Tutorial PDF is included as a 4th PDF, which includes 6 pages of picture tutorials, written tutorials, and links to exclusive video tutorials to help guide any ‘new to socks’ knitter through the pattern. A very thorough ‘true’ Afterthought Heel tutorial is included within this PDF.

The pattern includes 3 different sizes for the socks, charted and written directions, mirrored charts and directions, and a detailed Tutorial PDF. Trust me when I say - if you ever wanted to learn how to knit socks (or even an afterthought heel alone), this is the pattern for you! This pattern is toe-up.
