Here is a pattern for a button scarf with fringe! It buttons at your shoulder with a 1 1/2” wood button for an asymmetrical look. It measures 30” long (plus fringe) and is 7” wide.

This fringed button scarf is made with bulky weight (size 5) yarn and a large crochet hook (Size P-11.5mm). The large hook makes this a quick project. The stitches used are chain, slip stitch, and double crochet. The scarf is worked flat and the fringe loops are created with chain stitches on one end of the scarf. Working in the back loops of the previous row gives the fabric a ribbed look. The yarn used in this project is Homespun by Lion Brand. The scarf could also be made with a double strand of worsted weight yarn.

Materials:
Lion Brand Homespun – 1 skein
Crochet hook: Size P – 11.5mm
Yarn needle for weaving in ends and sewing on button
One 1 ½” button

The Size P hook is 11.5mm, not 10mm.
