This jumper is knitted flat in pieces from the bottom up and seamed for a well-structured and comfortable fit.
The Frobisher Pullover is a cabled saddle-shoulder pullover that was originally designed for Issue #53 of Knit Now Magazine. Frobisher, like its namesake Canadian rose and the explorer for whom the rose was named, is hardy enough for cold climates. Even if you’re not seeking the Northwest Passage, it will keep you warm for your own explorations of woodlands and hillsides over crisp, autumn leaves.

The cable pattern can be worked either from the charts or the written instructions, whichever you prefer. Be sure to check your gauge with more than one swatch when multiple stitch patterns are listed. In this pattern, the sleeves are worked at a slightly different gauge from the body despite using the same size needles; however, your own gauge may well call for different needles for the sleeves or body.

This issue is on sale now in supermarkets, newsagents and craft stores across the UK and on our website. It is also available digitally via Knit Now’s apps for Apple and Android devices and through Pocketmags here.
