I am gifting this summer sleeveless top pattern in honor of, and in thanks to, all our essential workers who put their lives and their households on the line each day in this pandemic caused by SARS-CoV-2. The world is suffering right now and knitting is certainly a great way to combat anxiety and mental stress. Stay healthy and keep knitting, friends!

Frontline is an A-line, sleeveless top worked in the round after completing a bottom Garter st band with back opening. The bulky-weight main-color yarn is perfect in this hand-dyed feature yarn of organic cotton. Achieve airy, mid-body contrast stripes with sport-weight yarn held single. Bodice decreases front and back provide shaping. The upper back is worked straight after armhole shaping. Decreases worked every row shape a scoop-front neck. An exposed Three-Needle BO finishes the shoulders. The trimmed neck and armhole openings are worked with a triple strand of the contrast yarn, picking up the edge sts and immediately binding off purlwise. An optional embroidered heart embellishes the center front with duplicate stitch and contrast triple-strand yarn.
