PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THIS IS A CHARTED DESIGN.

Call it a shoulder shawl, a wrap, a fichu, a capelet. I call it a froufrou because it’s a bit of frippery to drape around your shoulders to keep the chill out and to make that little black dress extra special! It would also be perfect for a wedding.

The main stitch pattern is a beautiful old lace pattern called frost flowers and there is the added interest of a garland of lace leaves around the neckline. Instructions are given for two lengths - standard and longer length. The first and third pics show the standard length version and the second and fourth pics, the longer length one.

Yarns suggested: Rowan Kidsilk Night, Rowan Kidsilk Haze, Rowan Kidsilk Spray, Fiddlesticks Zephyr Laceweight or any other 2ply laceweight able to obtain gauge. The standard length version took 2 balls of Kidsilk Night but another ball will be needed for the longer length version.

Also requires 2 x 13mm lightweight clear plastic snap fasteners.
