This scarf uses an early 19th century lace pattern that is deceptively simple and can be worked either from a chart or written instructions, whichever you prefer. A four row repeat is worked three times, then offset and worked three more times. The edges of the piece create a beautiful shape too. It is worked flat, with a simple ribbed loop which makes it easy to wear.

This pattern features in Issue 57 of Knit Now, which is on sale 4th February from supermarkets, newsagents and craft stores across the UK and online from MoreMags. Knit Now is also available through the Apple Newsstand and on the PocketMags app.
