This is a soft teddy bear without any hard pieces (plastic eyes or noses, etc.), so it is ideal for very young children. Each piece of the bear is made separately and sewn together.

Some notes paraphrased from the written pattern descriptions (p. 2 of the booklet):

  • For RH Baby Clouds, 16 oz required (alternate yarn should be super bulky weight category 6). This forms the bear’s body and head.
  • For RH Soft Baby, 1.5 oz required (alternate yarn should be light weight category 3 and variegated in color). This forms the bear’s scarf.
  • Other notions needed include a large-eye yarn needle, polyester fiberfill stuffing, several yards of brown 6-strand embroidery floss, and an embroidery needle.
