Pattern Description from Interweave Knits, Summer 2006: “This staff project gave me the opportunity to work a scarf in an unconventional way, something I’ve wanted to do for quite a while. The scarf is cast on and worked from long side, and it’s composed of five narrow bands of overlapping lace, which give it a frothy, three-dimensional look. I worked small picots along the bind-off rows to maintain the lacy effect.”

Yarn: Lorna’s Laces Helen’s Lace (50% silk, 50% wool; 1250 yd 1143 m/4 oz): #50ns poppy, 1 skein.

This project is shown on pages 106-107 of Interweave Knits, Summer 2006. The pattern is NOT in the magazine, however. Readers are instructed to find instructions on the website www.interweaveknits.com.
