This crochet pattern can be used to make hats for both boys and girls. The pattern uses only basic crochet stitches but it can be tricky working with three colors. I have given tips in the pattern to make working with three colors comfortable. I would suggest you use one very bright or dark color and one neutral. Color is changed every round and the yarn is not cut off at the end of the round but carried inside the hat to pick up later which minimizes weaving in the ends. The pattern includes the flower and the braided tassel. If you choose to use only two colors then your hat will have vertical stripes like the black and white shown at the bottom of this post.
