I apologize for any confusion or delays in your knitting because of this.

A funiculaire is a cable train, tram, or trolley usually a small thing transporting you up a steep hill or cliff. I heart funiculaires, they are charming and sweet and a wonderful example of a simple pulley system. The funiculaire hat is just as quaint with its cable and track hat band, and vertical motif. It is fun hat and an opportunity to use that unique button you have been wanting to show off!
This hat is knit, band first, picking up stitches, and finally knitting in the round. Funiculaire is a knit for moderate to advanced knitters, or adventurous newbees. This hat can be worn as a beret or pulled lower over your ears, a little slouchy.
Correction- after the band is finished, bind off on a RS row rather than a WS row.
