Light as air, soft as a downy chick, and so surprisingly warm, this super-simple, cropped, funnel-neck vest can be worn next to the skin or used as an easy layering piece. The sideways construction method orients the ribbed fabric for lovely drape and ample horizontal stretch. This easy stitch pattern looks very similar to brioche knitting and even your knitter friends will be surprised that it was crocheted!

Notes for choosing size: This vest can be worn with negative ease or positive ease depending on fit preference. This fabric is extremely stretchy widthwise, so if you are between sizes, or you have a larger bust but do not want a large amount of ease at waist, choose the smaller size. This fabric will easily stretch a few inches to accommodate a larger bust. Sample in photo has a finished chest measurement of 47.5” and was modeled on a 43” bust, however it could have easily fit up to a 50” bust measurement. For a larger bust: if choosing a size with 4” or more of negative ease, consider adding a small amount of length to the vest to accommodate curves. To lengthen vest, add extra chains to the foundation chain and remember to add these extra stitches into the stitch counts. Adding 4 sts to the foundation chain will increase the length of vest by about 1”.
