This cover is a good dust mop and also a good wet mop! Because of the weight of wet fabric, I’m offering it only in a bulky version so that the base fabric will adequately support the mopping action.

YARN, GAUGE, SIZE AND MACHINE
Use a sturdy #4 worsted weight acrylic base yarn that will get 4 stitches/6 rows/inch in stockinette fabric. You will not get exactly the same gauge in knit-weaving but adjust the stitch size as though knitting stockinette anyway. Also needed is a skein of Lion Fun Fur yarn. Any bulky machine may be used. The resulting cover will fit the normal sized Swiffer and its close competitors.

A single skein of Lion Fun Fur will make several Swiffer covers. The one I used for the sample is variegated and just happened to change colors in the center of the cover as shown at right.
