True to form I offer you yet another floral design. My passion for the Flora ( and Fauna ) of the Cape in South Africa continues to express itself through my crocheted pieces.

The extension to a Throw size is a bonus addition and in an easy to follow Text Pattern with Images.

This is a 4 - in - One design. First, we will make the Hexagon, which can be used as repeats for an afghan. Then we proceed to make the Circle. This is for a round cushion cover that can be sewed on to an existing old cushion to liven it up!

After this, we continue to square off the Circle to create a large Cushion Block, which can also be used as repeats or a centrepiece for a blanket. Finally, we will extend the Square to make a rectangle Throw!

I hope you will enjoy making this project, as much as I enjoyed designing it, even though I am rubbish at Geometry! :D

Yarn : Scheepjes Stone Washed 78% cotton / 22%acrylic. 50g ( 1 x ball = 130m ). I used 10 balls for the Block and 18 more balls to extend the Block to Throw size = 28 x 50g balls.
You will have some overlaps, and leftovers, of some colours.
I have included all the colours and amounts in the pattern file.

Hook: 4mm

Skill level: Text Pattern savvy. Beginners will manage the Block with the videos provided. Intermediate crocheters will be able to figure out corners if they’d like to work the Rows in Rounds.

Block: Size after blocking: approximately 50cm x 50cm/ 20” x 20”
Throw: 1.08m x 1.28m / 42” x 50”
Blocking instructions: gently stretching from the centre, pin out all along the perimeter, spritz liberally with water, allow to dry and repeat.

Further tools: scissors, stitch markers, blocking board and pins, darning needle, tape measure, coffee, tea or wine…possibly chocolate too.
